Welcome to Fiji.
Our villa is the second half of the second one you can see here.
The flight from LA took about 11 hours, but it wasn't too bad. The seats on the Air Pacific plane leant back slightly further and had slightly more leg room than the BA flights and so I could put my feet over Sam and we both got some sleep.
We arrived in Fiji at 5.15am local time and got to the hotel by their transfer. When we arrived at the hotel we found out that reception didn't open until 7am, so we had to wait 50 minutes to be checked in. So we explored a bit and then sat and waited. When we checked in we were shown straight to our room. We have a nice little villa type thing, with a little verandah facing the sea. We unpacked and then slept for an hour or so. When we were awake we got out a card game called 'Backpackers' that Sam's parents gave us for Christmas and learnt how to play it. It was really good fun- you basically have to collect photographs from different countries around the world.
The food is really cheap here- we had a pizza between us for lunch that cost about £7.50 and was really good. After lunch we sat on our verandah, drank LOTS of water and played more cards. It is so hot here- about 35 degrees! Sam and I both think it feels a lot like being in Kenya.
