A pre-festive meal

Met Luke for a Carvery meal to get us in the way of having over-filled Christmas fare stomachs. 
Yes. it's true. I did overdo the meat and veggies (and half of a yorkshire pud) on my plate and could hardly move after. 
It was very nice to eat and chat in a leisurely way. When we meet up on Christmas day it's all rather hectic.

A lot of people I know like to watch the James Stewart film 'It's a Wonderful Life' around Christmas time but that's never been a favourite with me at all. 
I thought I'd seen most Cary Grant films but 'The Bishops Wife' was on tele and I had no recollection of ever seeing it. So I watched it.
It was long, certainly, and a bit corny but I quite liked it as an alternative to the James Stewart.
