Went across to the market where we picked up a few essentials (eg a pie for Ogatodomar's onward journey!) and met Mel to return her specs which she'd left at the Vaults last night. Then went up to Waverley with himself to see him on to the Aberdeen train. Felt fairly exhausted by the relentless partying of the last couple of days, so didn't do much - finished Madeleine Miller's Circe though. What a book!

There's been good news in the last few days, namely that the developers' most recent appeal against their planning rejection for the Steads Place site has been rejected. They'll probably put in a new one, mind - and of course it doesn't help to re-open all the little shops and cafes that they forced out.
