Far from the maddening crowd

We headed over to Glen Tilt and followed one of the many waymarked trails maintained by the Athol Estates.  Today we headed up to Gilbert's Bridge via the rifle range and came back over the fields and the wonderfully named Glen Fender. 

The longest night has now passed - one of the Gaelic terms for it is Oidhche nan Seachd Suipearan [Night of the Seven Suppers]   which strikes me as a very sensible approach to take - however we restricted ourselves to just the one last night ( a rather tasty venison casserole if I say so myself).
