The Laird's Door

This is the entrance to the Pitsligo Aisle, the Laird's Loft at the 17th century Peathill Old Kirk.The lower steps have been reconstructed from old tombstones. The Forbes of Pitsligo family burial vault was beneath the floor of the loft which contained a wondrously carved pew, now housed in the adjacent Victorian former kirk.
