Out In The Light

Unbelievably warm today for late December with a high of 54F, it was very pleasant to be out photographing. Despite the temperature the lake remains frozen. The low sun was very bright and turned the reeds a wonderful orange glow. I took this shot from behind an ash tree on the shore with its exposed roots clinging to the land.

The cooler shadows and blue ice contrast nicely with the warm colour of the reeds.
