Being Part of Things

Merlin has taken to laying on one of the boards I had planned to use to for the jigsaw puzzle.  It doesn't look very comfortable but I think it is his way of being part of what I am doing - he likes to be part of everything we do!

Its been a day of sunshine and showers, and very mild - 12 degrees!  We've done the last minute Christmas jobs we needed to do today - buying bread from the bakery, gifting one of Andy's Mum's paintings to a friend, the food shopping and wrapping presents.  I have also made soup to accompany one of our meals tomorrow.  

Afterwards we had a lovely walk with Merlin, watching a kestrel hover silently in the sky as the light faded.  I gathered some more winter foliage to make a Christmas arrangement for the fire place - given its so mild I don't think we will be lighting the fire this Christmas.  Then we had a dinner and settled down to be cosy for the evening.
