WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Happy Christmas!

Bella-May was not impressed with having to pose with the silly Santa hat on!

We've had a relaxed day - just the two of us and Bella.
We had Christmas dinner at 1pm - a modest main course; no starter as we find it too much. Even so, I feel really full and neither of us could manage the Christmas pud so we'll have that for tea then nibbles later on.

It's 4:30pm and we're just back from a lovely walk along the canal to the park at Skipton then back to the boat over the golf course. Everywhere is so muddy and Bella needed a good hose down as did our wellies.

I got a message and photos from Sabrina and family from way up in the sky. They are en route to New Zealand to visit Johnnie's family on the South Island. They set off yesterday from Glasgow. The first flight was 8 hours to Dubai, then a non stop 16hour flight to Auckland - they are still on that one.
I was following their progress on Flight Tracker and saw when they were flying over India; just now they are halfway across Australia. Amazing isn't it! Then they have two more flights - one to Wellington and the last one to Blenheim. Flying on Christmas Eve saved them £2000! Sabrina said the girls have been really good.

We're still working away at the jigsaw, I would say 1/3rd done. I wonder how long it took Greengirl 8-)

We both got lovely gifts from each other and from the kids. Bella got a new dog towel to lie on in front of the stove when she needs to dry off plus some doggie treats - veggie of course!

Time for wee sherry now.
Happy Christmas folks! ;-)
