Covid Christmas and a Surprise Visitor ...
...across the road.
Hope you all had the best day you possibly could.
We started the day at 6am opening our presents in bed, then after breakfast with a very slippy, icy walk up Haw Lane.
Frank made our yummy vegan Christmas dinner.
Mushroom, chestnut and pecan Wellington with all the trimmings and sticky toffee pud with ice cream for afters. I fell asleep on the sofa for 2 hours after that!
We both got lots of lovely gifts from our kids and grandkids. I think they felt sorry for us being by ourselves!
We had lots of facetime with various family including all the grandchildren and also saw our little great grand niece Emmeline who was at Tony and Di's. She's nearly 2 and we still haven't met her in the flesh. She was obviously used to talking to a screen and even 'kissed' me! Her Mum + Dad - Ben and Lucy have a cafe called Nelson's and a restaurant called Company, both in Eastbourne. Hard times for them just now.
Well, that's Christmas Day nearly over. Time for jim jams ( new ones from Sabrina!) and dressing gown (new from Frank!) then it's Call the Midwife :-)
Book at bedtime will be The Lost Spells - thanks Alison I love it! X
Love and Christmas blessings to all! :-)xxx
