It's Christmas tree time

I've been holding back the annual shot of the Christmas tree until a slow blip day. That day arrived today on a dismal, wet day. To the right, you get just a glimpse of a few of the other Christmas decorations, cards etc which adorn pretty much every downstairs surface. They make the house so special at this time of the year.

We'll only enjoy them for a couple more days as we're travelling to Edinburgh on Saturday for Hogmanay with family across the border. By the time we're back, it'll be time to take them all down for another year.
