Approaching Orkney

A wild day of wind and gales, dull and rain.  

Up early, and started to pack the bags after breakfast.  A quick clean around the house, and then mam and Jonny popped by for a cuppa.  Been along to see Big Brian and Madeline, and he's staying there for a week's holiday.  Me and peerie Brian met up with mam, dad and niece Eve at the Lerwick ferry terminal, and embarked the boat.  

Heading south for a peerie holiday to Aviemore for New Year, and what a night to be sailing.  After a lovely calm spell, just typical the gales arrived back.  The boat has 250 passengers on board, with most getting their heads down early.  There's been some crashing of plates, as the boat gets thrown around in the waves, up and down, side to side.  A quick detour to Orkney on the way, but running a bit late.  Taken at the bar on the M.V.
