Sunset in Southport
Slept well as I was really tired, hub not so much, but once we were up, we decided to head to the coast to blow away the cobwebs, as our plans for today were postponed due to BiL succumbing to this nasty bug!
It was surprisingly busy, there were lots of families walking up and down the Pier, well wrapped up, as there was a cold wind.....again
no idea where this so called mild 12 degrees was!!!
We had a coffee and a bacon sandwich to warm us up before wandering some more.
A quick look in some of the shops on Lord Street, not a patch on how it used to be sadly,
didn't buy anything!
By the time we were ready to leave daylight was starting to fade, the skies turning a soft apricot, which made for some nice last minute images. I have added an extra of the Pier from an unusual perspective.
Back home now.....a light tea, jacket potato with tuna and red onion and a side salad, well thats the plan.
I really hope there is something worth watching on tv tonight.....hasn't it been abysmal, I suppose thats nothing new really :-/
