The missing piece has now been found ! 

It has been a day of coming and goings. 

My Dad & M came for lunch, R headed down to Edinburgh on mid-day train & A has just left for early evening train (finding missing piece as she was packing :-) ) 

House now seems rather quiet. T is still recovering from lurgy so suspect an evening of Gray' s Anatomy beckons.
