Ruby to the Rescue

No, not that Ruby, the Chinese Takeaway 'Ruby'.
I mentioned that most of us had been ill over Christmas and yesterday I disposed of the vast majority of the Christmas leftovers but freezing two boxes of shredded pork, a box of carrots and a few brussels in bacon, Marlane and I are starting to feel not so sickly this evening. So we decided that fried rice couldn't do us much harm. We'll see but while Marlane had King Prawn fried rice I played it much safer with a Mushroom fried rice.
I'll let you know the result tomorrow!

The food waste, by the way, is recycled by the council. Not quite sure what they do with it but I'll make it my mission to find out.
It is only at Christmas/New Year time that we use the larger food waste 'bucket', we have so little waste during the week that we only use the small 'Caddy' and sometimes I don't put it out for a fortnight and that's usually only because it's getting smelly!
