While shepherds washed their socks...

I managed to get the tree baubled and the swags up for the party last night, but only today managed to complete the festive decorations with this year’s alternative nativity scene.
The stars of the show are from my childhood and the cast of extras include musicians from Naples, penitents from Puglia and of course Il Papa and his Swish guard from the Vatican.

In the evening, as a Christmas Present, WonderA and I went to see Matthew Bourne’s ‘Red Shoes’ at Saddler’s Wells.
Splendid, glamorous, elegant...a joyous diversion from reality.
