The Woods - From A Distance!
Hi everyone!
It was bitterly cold today, it was such a struggle getting down to the bus stop! When I got home, I didn't even consider going on a walk! I just took a couple of photos from the garden, and then rushed back inside to the warmth.
Apparently, we (Pretty much the whole of the UK) are supposed to get very heavy snow on Friday. The headteacher was discussing it in assembly today, and what would happen if the school was to close. I sort of hope it snows so we can get an extra day off, but that would mean I wouldn't get to go to Nanas. Worst case scenario (which probably will happen knowing my luck!), School is open even though it snows badly, but then we can't go to Nanas anyway.
There is this stupid new rule that the new physics teacher (who is also head of science) has imposed on everyone in science. Whenever anyone comes into class, they need to hang their jackets up on the little coat hooks at the front of the class. I know it sounds really petty, but it's quite annoying at the end of the lesson, when everyone crowds round trying to grab their own jacket, not caring if they push or shove people out the way. There has been several times already where people have knocked mine to the ground, and some have even stood on it.
There was already a rule which meant we couldn't wear jackets in class. No idea why it exists, but it does. Anyway, we would come into class and put our jackets over the back of our chairs. That made it a whole lot easier to leave class on time, and without having a free for all to try and grab your jacket ( I always stand back as I don't like confrontation, and because of that, I have almost been late to class several times). Apparently, it is for 'health and safety reasons' (I.E, so the school can cover themselves if anything was to happen). That excuse would perhaps work, if it wasn't for the fact we use naked flames and dangerous chemicals every day with only a pair of goggles!
Right , I had a few more things to say today, but I think I've typed too much, and I don't want to bore you...
Have a nice Thursday!
Steven :)
