The Morning

This is where I end up every Tuesday night around 1AM, at the DJ booth taking shots of the crowd. This is always pretty sick and fun, even though you'd think as a photographer, I'm quite detached from everybody else (ie. I'm sober). Thing is I see people I know and meet new people every night at Niche, so always end up having a good time.

A good night was exactly what I needed after a mediocre day. Losing 3 hours worth of work on my fluids essay less than an hour before I was due to give a photosoc training session wasn't the best thing that could have happened...
So after a "ehh" training session on Event Photography, I went home to redo some of the work I'd lost and then go out to do some event photography myself. By the end of the night, the "rage" (you were right Mikey!) had passed.

However, I was disappointed by the sharpness and focus of my photos, no matter what aperture I was on, and that was using my standard 18-105. I'm wondering whether the Sigma 18-50 isn't actually sharper than I'd originally thought. I'm definitely using it next Tuesday to compare.
