The Apostles

Up an atom fairly early this morning and after a breakfast of nice sourdough, avocado and awful coffee......we hit the road!

What we thought was gonna be a fairly relaxed day of driving turned into a mad dash to make it back to Melbourne in time to return the rental car!

The Great Ocean road looks fairly short but you make so many stops for amazing views it takes way longer than expected! It really is a amazing drive/coast line!

What remains of the 12 Apostles are still stunning and the way we did the drive( Adelaide to Melbourne) we saved the best for last!

So once we found ourselves lost in the Great Ocean Bermuda Triangle time passed so much quicker meaning we had to skip the very last part of the coast road and drive in land to make it to Melbourne!

Once back in Melbourne we checked into our hotel, showered and then went in search of beer! Mountain Goat brewery was our destination and some great beers, pizza and a brewery tour were our reward!

Home to the hotel with the intention of cracking the complimentary bottle of bubbles the hotel had left in our executive King Room (that I wrangled by mentioning to the hotel that it was Andreas 40th) la dee da!, but we both felt peckish so we headed out for some late night dumplings!

First night in Melbourne.....Done!
