Round the block

Today we’re at my mums. Jol and Josie come round for lunch, bringing pre-roasted potatoes. Mum has a de-boned goose in the oven and red cabbage in the microwave. I’m preparing sprouts.

After eating far too much, mum goes for a snooze and the rest of us take a walk. We take in field, railway, road, canal, and stream. All in less than half an hour.

Jol and Josie head home. We watch the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and then head to bed, no supper necessary.
