A Black Day

It has been one of the worst days yet of this horrendous fire season in Australia. Another young fire fighter killed, a father and son died defending their home, at least 5 people missing and many properties destroyed in NSW and Victoria.

In comparison things have been relatively quiet here in the mountains but even so fires have flared up and an eco-lodge resort on the outskirts of Blackheath has been lost today. 

We have blackened leaves like this falling in our garden, at the farm and no doubt across the country.
Let us hope 2020 brings us desperately needed rain instead.
