Wide Wednesday Weather.....
.....is dry.
This is the creek we cross to get to the farm. Sometimes it is flooded and impassable.
I have never seen it dry before.
It will fill again eventually but I did get a shock when I found that the Federation Drought lasted from 1895 till 1903 :-(
We have our own evacuation centre of sorts here tonight.
Graham, Bec and kids had been to the farm and couldn't get home as a petrol tanker has rolled at Medlow Bath, about 10km from their home. With roads closed due to the fires the alternate route would have taken over 2 hours so they have all crashed here for the night. The highway is not expected to open until at least 2am.
Still they are fortunate compared to so many stranded around the country.
Thanks to our wonderful Wide Wednesday host BobsBlips.
