Fiasco!
This evening we were off to a music session in Alnmouth, organised by friends - there would be food, drink and, of course, lots of people playing traditional music.
We left the flat, MrM opened the car door, put something on the back seat of the car - and the alarm sounded. So he pressed the key fob, alarm stopped - and promptly started again! To cut a long story short, the alarm kept sounding on and off for the next 2.5 hours! MrM and I tried everything we could think of to disable the wretched thing, including disconnecting the car battery, to no avail. In the meantime, we had driven to an unpopulated area, so as not to annoy our neighbours any more than we had already!
Eventually, to our great relief and for no apparent reason, the alarm finally stopped! We drove home and left the car parked on the road outside our bedroom window, so we could dash downstairs and take it elsewhere should the alarm spring in to action again in the middle of the night. (Need to find the code and work out how to re-set the car radio - settings lost on disconnecting the battery...)
No music session - just a late-evening snack, an hour of TV, and bed. Hoping desperately that it's a quiet night!
