Eventually . . .

Mouse still in evidence - heard plastic of trap rattling behind the door but unconvinced when no mouse trapped this morning. Other half (OH) headed off to purchase more reliable traps while I walked hound. Crow posed for us.

In afternoon eventually - two cafes not open, plumped for Waterstones cafe - met friend for coffee and cake and exchange of books. Walking home we investigated bookshelf in exterior wall of house, in Hilda Street. A bookcase has been constructed in the wall with a perspex door to keep books dry. An eclectic collection, something for anyone. Great idea!

This evening stated that it sounds like its caught. After dinner and a 6.6% beer OH decided to take trap with mouse for a walk.  Trap dropped, mouse escaped, shouts to keep mouse contained in pantry. OH labelled incident- *USER ERROR* . Not to mention mutterings of not drinking before this task.

*NEWS FLASH*  Eventually - mouse re-caught! Instructions to OH to deposit on other side of main road.  Digits crossed OH doesn't return with little critter having climbed into pocket.
Trap left in case it is meeces!
