Sequoia Tree
A very different vibe floating around Queenstown today, the mountains are shrouded in mist and the drizzle a constant as if there to wash away all indications of the party the previous night. Foggy headed people wander the streets in search of bacon rolls and coffee.
Despite the pool of vomit on my balcony I am just thankful I am not in my tent in this weather and packing up wet kit in the morning. The time will come for that I am sure. Having spent the afternoon researching the trail through the high sierras I swear I can almost feel the snow creeping into my shoes little by little. Yesterday was the Mojave desert section which inspired a whole lot of completely different, but equally disturbing sensations. Ignorance would be bliss but a bit dangerous so the research has to be done, unfortunately.
Hope you all enjoyed some New Year celebrations last night and that 2020 dawns with the pale winter sun and full of good promise.
