Brave new world . . .

Happy New Year. 2020 - we do need to be brave for one reason or another. 
We have meeces! Trying to block up external holes but googling information says they only need a hole the size of a biro! I'm sure we'll miss some, four caught and released and have blocked brick vent with bricks. Digits crossed we can do this rather than call out the pest expert.
Late night due to fireworks and resulting unhappy hound.  
Bumped into fellow dogwalker who informed me that Bob is dying of liver and stomach cancer and is in a hospice but having a day at home today.  His mad-as-box-of-frogs whippet cross, Frankie is with him.  I first met him walking his previous greyhound cross Macey and with my previous greyhound Otty.  Macey helped scared-of-his-own-shadow Otty find a canine friend.  Such a lovely person, very sad. Rotten start to 2020 for his family.
Many will need to be brave this year.
