Framing the Landscape at Ogden Water
WEDNESDAY - NEW YEAR'S DAY
A HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
I managed just over 4 hours sleep and was up at 6:30 am in order to drive over to Leeds for the traditional New Year's Day double parkruns.
First on the list was the Woodhouse Moor run which attracted 750 participants (excluding buggy passengers and dogs). It was a very congested start and I finished 247 with a time of 24m 56s. [see extra]
Second was the Potternewton Parkrun which was effectively six uphills bits and five downhill ones. I finished 99 out of 362 with a time of 25m 53s.
This afternoon we went for a walk around Ogden Water but due to the elevation and the lateness of the hour, the reservoir paths were devoid of sunshine and shrouded in a light mist.
At one end of the dam wall is an Ashley Jackson inspired "Framing the Landscape" feature - similar to the one I blipped at Holme Moss in May 2017.
I might just scrape in 25,000 steps by bedtime.
