Bitterly Cold
I was attracted down to the lake shore by the patterns left overnight on the ice by wind blown snow. Unfortunately the perspective at shore level did not render them as I had hoped. I'm sure a drone shot would have worked, were it not for the wind.
In fact, trying to shoot into the wind for this shot was difficult because I couldn't shield the lens without getting in the way. I quite like that it's soft in the front, which seems to suit the cold conditions with snow drifting across the lake ice. I like the snow on the fallen tree in the distance which makes a nice focal point.
