Scarlet Elf Cup

Always a cheery sight on the forest floor at this time of the year. And I know exactly where to look for them at Trentham Gardens, as they appear in the same spot each year.

We hadn't any big plans to see the New Year in so didn't make it to midnight. This may have been due to over a week's worth of early starts with Livvie to giver her antibiotics at the same time each day!

We did enjoy a quiet meal together, opened a bottle of fizz and listened to a couple of Christmas folk CDs (Kate Rusby and The Albion Christmas Band) to savour the last remnants of the festive season.
