New Year Blip Meet in Peebles

I've been looking forward to today for ages, a blip meet hosted by thebear, thechimp and Mazgilchimp in Peebles. I've had my fingers crossed I'd be better in time and happily my cough has subsided.
I headed off down to Peebles in time for a bowl of soup in a local hostelry and then set off, to meet up at a place described only by its postcode and description - a layby. True to fortune, just five minutes before I parked the car, the rain came on.

Murdo the miniature schnauzer, kept an eye on us all - being Forthports and Mrs FP, Nadinepierce, Puke, MrsPuke, thechimp and thebear - as we headed off in the rain. After a brisk couple of miles, we headed back indoors to the comfort of a warm fire and lots of cake. Mazgilchimp, Mislet and Penally1 joined us and the conversation and the tea flowed.
