Old Barn

Another old, abandoned Texas barn. This one is in Round Rock, adjacent to Old Settlers Park. It was raining during this photo, a very welcome rainfall given our 17 month drought that has reached "Exceptional Drought" categorization. As of this writing, the current storm has dropped exactly 2.00" (50.8 mm) of rain. While helpful, it is no drought buster. According to the National Climatic Data Center, Central Texas needs between 18 and 36 inches of rain (457.2 to 914.4 mm) during a three month period for the drought to be considered over. But I'll take what we can get. I finally saw some bluebonnets today; we're going to be woefully short on wildflowers this year due to the drought.
