Can Spring be far Behind?

It’s not the twelfth day of Christmas, but I took the Christmas tree down today. It’s never the same when there’s nobody else to share it’s twinkly lights and the fairy on the top. And it’s not the same when there is no body else to help fight it back into its box.

I did a bad job last year and this time was little better. If it comes out of its box in the furthest corner of the cupboard unscathed next year with all it’s led lights working,I’ll be suitably amazed.

The Christmas cards came down too and are in a pile waiting for me to decide what to do with them.

It was a lovely sunshiny day and I thought the window sill of spring flowers provided hope and colour for the beginning of a new decade.

Today is the third family birthday this year. Shipley grandson is 9 today, and Glasgow daughter and family on their way home from Bath were able to join in the celebrations.

It’s also the first TGIF drinkies gathering of 2020 at the Marriott.
Bring it on!
