A Lancashire Bomb

There were two important phone calls made this morning to youngest daughter and even younger daughter-in-law who have birthdays today.
With daughter bemoaning the arrival of the big four O, I had to remind her that when I had that birthday she still had another 2 months to go before emerging to face the world.

Later, I had a windy rainy walk to have lunch with school friends. The lunch lasted until 5pm and was the perfect way to spend the last day of the holidays.

My blip is of the cheese plate featuring a Lancashire Bomb cheese which looked impressively realistic, was the very devil to get out of its wax and muslin casing, but was wonderfully tasty when we succeeded.

Thank you Hazel for being such a brilliant hostess after the year you have endured.
