Aspirations

We high-tailed it out of Edinburgh like Thelma and Louise, escaping the Hogmanay Massive, seeking the indulgent seclusion of a Northumbrian beach-hut.
A pit stop in Berwick and a crisscrossing of all her bridges later, we drove on to Alnwick, full of anticipation, both making first drafts of our aspirations and resolutions for the new year and decade.
