Luke and Xena

A bit of a slow day today - I had a run this morning, then we walked Xena in the woods after breakfast. It was good to see the woods looking drier and not muddy, it makes it easier when you don't have to wash the dog after  a walk.

I changed some bedding this morning, did washing, ironing and washed the kitchen floor too - the house got messy and needed cleaning over Christmas, and I was busy with meals and other stuff so did not have time to do that before we went away. Then we went to a cafe in the village for lunch, I had a delicious chicken salad.

We did some research on our summer holiday - it is harder to plan a family trip now that the older two boys are working and trying to find dates that suit everyone's work timetable is very tricky. We think we have found a date...now to find a location!

It is quieter at home now, Adam has left and Luke is going back home tomorrow morning. Soon it will all be back to the usual routine and we were all be saying how much we are looking forward to spring.
