"Against The Stream They Multiply"

This is one of three leaping salmon in the millenium sculpture which sits outside the Eastgate Arts Centre in Peebles. The sculpture was funded by public subscription and sculpted at the Beltane Studios in Peebles.

I love the detail in the sculpture. It makes a beautiful site on Peebles High Street and reminds us all of how lucky we are to have the salmon in our local streams and rivers.

'Against the stream they multiply' is the motto for Peebles and refers to the salmon.
