Bracket Fungi

The annual New Year walk in Dunblane today followed by a choice of four soups, three puddings, a cheeseboard and for the non-drivers fizz and a dram.

The walk today was on the newly laid paths beyond Kippendavie through the woods and tracks. The paths were good but there was a lot of mud too. This bracket fungus was growing on a tree (see extra) just at the start of the walk. Quite a sight. Flora had a wonderful day with her friend JoJo, the border terrier.

Our friends had, as always, made lovely food to share with their nine guests and we ate about 2:30. I was today's driver so my food was washed down with cups of tea. We left about 6pm and we are all tired after the fresh air.
