Success at last!
So what success? Well two really; first I have managed to keep last years Poinsettia alive and healthy for over 12 months, second despite not having covered it up to give it short days soon enough here are the first bracts showing colour. Just spotted them today so this is a record shot. Depending on how they get on you may see them again.
New Year was celebrated as we have been doing since the last millenium when "the Mate" and his late wife started to join us. Basically it all began when "The Mate's" son on Lewis asked him if he could pick up a boat from Pembroke Dock and meet him near Aviemore. His car wasn't powerful enough so the pair of us went down brought in back to Cumbria and the next day on to beyond Aviemore. That was between Christmas and New Year. From there on we had New Years eve quietly at ours and a long DVD fest. The most memorable being the Lord of the Rings Trilogy - end to end.
