Archaeologists in the making
After kicking a few molehillds yesterday looking for medieaval pottery, the DSs continued the process today at another deserted village site - Wharram Percy. DS#1 in particular showed some enthusiam with the best find being a human tooth, much to DD's disgust.
A pint on the way back proved hard to find with pubs either being shut, worse still shutting or not meeting our strict requirements. Eventually a pint was had before a Lidl shop and retiring home.
Quickly out again to meet old Wellington friends for a few beers in the excellent pub, the Grapes in Slingby. Much chat and much ale partaken off.
Eventually back to the house for an excellent gammon at rather a late hour.
