birding
We left Langdale today, a day early, as Lesley has to go into work tomorrow. Whenever we go to stay in one of our lodge weeks I take bird food and we enjoy watching the continuous parade of visitors. There is a good selection of birds so this morning I sat with the window open and enjoyed an hour of bird photography, battling against the poor light and rain. Here we have a nuthatch, G S woodpecker and of course a robin. Also captured were various tits, finches, fieldfare, blackbird, jackdaws and a distant dipper on the beck.
Leaving my bolthole in the rain always feels a little easier than if the weather was good, especially as we had a good week with a couple of brilliantly blue days. Never mind back again in 8 weeks :-)
