Little notice

Before Christmas there was a note about gas works happening in the New Year. And that road closures and parking restrictions would be varied.

There was nothing posted when I came back from church. And I accept I spent The remainder of the day in the house. It was nevertheless a bit of a surprise this Monday morning when I did venture out to discover that we should not have been parking from 7 am.

Quite why the notices could not have gone up on Friday or Saturday I’m not sure, instead of some souls spending their Sunday going round the streets.

Rest of the day spent taking down the decorations (the immediate priority) and preparing a presentation on Paris for Wednesday. I was asked yesterday if I could help out as a group’s speaker had had to pull out at very short notice. Task is to remove 3 in 4 of a thousand photos and turn them into a coherent(ish) talk. I suspect another day in the house looms tomorrow.
