Run Down

Weapons. The right to carry them, concealed or not, load them up with an almost infinite amount of ammunition and shoot them in uninterrupted streams. To protect yourself -- even against your own government (according to the more paranoid segments of the society). For the pleasure of hunting (or is that mowing down your prey?). Because a couple of hundred years ago, you rightfully had to be concerned about guarding your property. Don't we get to evolve in our attitudes and thinking over time?

I will never understand that mindset.
