Bedouin encounters

Jordan day 5 - Through Little Petra to the Wadi Rum.

Little Petra, a few miles from the main site, was built as a caravanserai - the equivalent of a Premier Inn or Travelodge for traders travelling along the ancient trade routes. 
From there, we went on to Lawrence of Arabia territory in the Wadi Rum. This surreal landscape has been used in lots of films, including The Martian, some of the Star Wars series and Lawrence of Arabia. After watching the sun set over the desert, we enjoyed a stay in a Bedouin camp.   We had an evening of food, music and dancing Bedouin style before retiring to our traditional tents for the night
