Gypsy

The Matinée performance at the Royal Exchange today.

A musical I was unfamiliar with although some of the songs have become standards. And I had no idea about the story of Gypsy Rose Lee - I must live a very sheltered life.

A good production, with a good cast, we enjoyed it. The first half featured a lot of children. How can young kids be this good at song and dance. The second half featured a bit of burlesque. Really funny. And quite a contrast to the first half !
