On A Hot.....

.... and sticky day, when you haven't got a pool, any water will do.

We've done all the usual things, but mostly spent a lot of time outdoors.  Playing with a lot of water!!

We did take the dog for a walk to feed the ducks.  Half way there Mia decided she needed to do a wee.  And as she is no longer in nappies, we had to go back home.  We made it!  And then set off again for the lake.

Isabella held the dog, and Mia carried the poo bags!  Both girls had shoelaces tied in their hair, as they wanted to be like Rapunzel!

After lunch, I decided to take the girls to the local Kmart, to get some new drink bottles.

The traffic was terrible.  There had been an accident on the motorway, and although we didn't have to go on it, the roads on to it were blocked.

We got there eventually, got the new drink bottles and some more sandals (they've outgrown the ones I've got.)  And returned home, a much easier journey.

Clothes were stripped off and they went back to playing.  Unfortunately, Mia didn't take her new t-shirt off.  It wasn't until they were going home, we saw she'd drawn over her t-shirt, with some felt tipped pens she'd found in a Christmas craft pack.  (I didn't even know they were there).

Needless to say they've now gone in the bin.

Sorry Alexandra, for the ruined t-shirt!
