Please keep to the pavement.

The Limestone Pavement that is. And be very, very careful. It is slippery when wet.

And please don’t ask the local Council to fill in the potholes. They are part of its wonder. Many interesting plants grow out of them.

This is Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve. And luckily for me it is only ten minutes away in the car. So for a January afternoon when the sun shines and the wind disappears it makes a most enjoyable walk.
