Long shadows

Pretty much desperation stakes to get a blip today. On the way to see SK and HK today for tea and buns (well, Christmas cake and scones) I stopped on the Silverknowes promenade. It's not quite a drive by shooting, as I did get out of the car. But it's largely out of focus, apart from the people on bikes, which is odd, as you would expect them to be the blurred ones as they were moving most quickly. We had lovely chats with S and H, who didn't really have a great 2019, although there were some highspots such as their golden wedding celebrations and a holiday in Orkney with their grandchildren. 2020 is also bringing plenty of challenges. Long shadows in numerous senses.

The rest of the day has been a blur of domesticity. Not much to do now, which is just as well as it's a very early start tomorrow.
