Sofia

I have been very fortunate today in joining in on a flash photography session with Torrevieja Digital Camera Club.  I have been able to visit this club on several occasions - it is a small but very friendly club and just about the only one in this area of Spain.  Members are mostly expat or (like me) occasional but regular visitors.  It makes me wonder what photography goes on in Spain - surely it happens, but how is knowledge disseminated and skills encouraged?  Are we very fortunate in the UK in having so many clubs and so many opportunities to share and gain from others' experiences?

My 'neighbour-over-the-road' in Spain is a photographer and we have often been out together, when I am here, on photographic expeditions. Today there was a flash photography workshop organised by TDCC with the stunning (and very patient) Sofia as model.  I learned a great deal about flash photography and managed a few decent images  - you can see I currently favour the mono approach.  I will add one more in the extras.

John has spent his day walking in the rather more mountainous area nearby and is asleep on the sofa; physically exhausted.
