Billy Butler

Been to see mother today who, as is often the case, was turning out. She came across this picture of a local character from days gone by. As you can probably see he was a gentleman of the road and stayed regularly in the Grendon Underwood area doing odd jobs before moving on somewhere else. If you were looking untidy in those days you were described locally as looking very Billy Butler!

Lots of other interesting stuff too, including pictures and postcards, many of which I photographed. Mum is sending it all on to the Maternal side of the family so that the T history continues in the T family.

Ill share a story or two tomorrow including the story of a man on his way back from war to the arms of his sweetheart and parents only for the plane to go down during peacetime, never to be recovered.

Mum was well, and looking forward to my sister coming home on Wednesday for a few days.

Dry and breezy

Thanks for looking in today..

There is one extra showing Lance Corporal Jack Taplin my Gt Grandfather pictured in France we think during the Great War.
