After an early start we were at the motorhome dealers by 9.30 and ready to hand the van over for the day. They’d sorted out a courtesy car for us - a fairly small fiat but it did the job of getting us to and from the Metro centre.
I was on a mission to find new sandals which didn’t rub - found a pair in Debenhams which were marked down in the sale and even cheaper when I took them to the till. Wandered around till lunchtime picking up some bargains in M&S for both me and Mr PHL before we headed to Weatherspoons. Tried to be good and ordered mushroom risotto with a side of roasted vegetables- it was delicious. A bit more shopping and time for a coffee for Mr PHL whilst I nipped back to M&S to buy a new umbrella.

Walking around all day did wonders for my step count - almost 15000 steps so very pleased as I’ve been very sedentary lately.

Picked up the van - all snags sorted and headed back to the site at Durham via the supermarket. Managed to get a lovely meal deal for a tenner - £2 cheaper than Scottish prices!
