Panic Eating?

I think these goldfinches must have been watching the weather forecast. They hadn't been around for a couple of days, but a large group of them showed up today and gorged their way through an entire feeder's worth of sunflower seeds. I reckon they are packing it away while they can before tomorrow's snow.

The garden looks fairly Arctic already, but that's just what remains of Monday's snow.
